Even in Southern African countries my Garmin worked flawlessly. I never had a big itch to use a GPS because I rarely had problems anyway, but having tried the GPS, I can’t go back.
It also helps a lot in looking for hotels. In one Zimbabwean town, I checked all 9 hotels that were in the GPS unit. They were all over town in weird locations and I would have never found them without the GPS. GPS is an amazing tool.

Great to know that a GPS works in other countries. That makes sense though because GPS works off a satellite and they are everywhere; even in remote areas.
