Update: The 2010 Route is identical to the 2009 route.
I just registered for my first half marathon. On January 18th I’ll be running in the PF Chang’s Half Marathon. Whether it is cross country motorcycle trips, or what route I’ll be doing my run along, I love pouring over the details and exploring through Google Maps. I was surprised that the race organizers have not included a Google Maps version of the route. They just give you a stupid PDF. With over 20,000 individuals participating in the half marathon, I thought that my fellow runners out there would find a view of the route through Google Maps helpful. Each marker represents a mile marker. So here ya go:
I made this map based on the information found at the PF Chang’s Half Marathon Route Details page.
I have two months left to train. The other day I ran 9 miles with a 8:22 mile pace so I’m doing much better than I thought I would. My goal is to finish the 13.1 miles in under 2 hours. I have to keep my pace below 9:09, which will be tough when you take breaks into account, but I think I can do it.
Wish me luck!
Completely off-topic, but kinda not…do runners wave to each other when they pass on the sidewalk? Motorcyclist wave to each other, and I find myself waving to other runners out of habit. Does anyone else do this?
