My name is Bill and I live in the Phoenix valley. I grew up in south side suburbs of Chicago until I moved here in the summer of 2007. I bought my first motorcycle in the spring of 2006 and developed a passion for motorcycling shortly after. It started with a joy rides throughout the city, a day long ride to nowhere in particular, an overnight trip over the weekend and then I found myself on the road for weeks at a time exploring the US. The longer I traveled I found myself in less company of fellow riders, but it never stopped my to desire to travel by motorcycle. One of the purposes of this site is to share my experiences with others, and to keep a log of those travels for myself to reminisce over in the future.
Traveling by motorcycle is a unique and peculiar thing that is understood by few except those know of it first hand. The independence and freedom of the open road is something that is lost when traveling by car. You are intimately connected with your surroundings. You see a wider range of sights uninhibited by the cage of a car, a vivid array of scents pass into and out of your helmet, the subtle texture of the road is felt through your grip on the bars and you sense tiny temperature changes on the back of your neck. This is what riding is all about. My goal is to bring glimpses of these sensations to others through writing, photos and video. I hope you find my journeys as enjoyable as I do.
Bill
